Why is no sound coming from my stereo?
Typically when a car stereo produces no sound it’s usually caused by a shorted or grounded wire, defective speakers, faulty head unit/fuses, or setup is not yet complete with your radio unit.
Is there a problem with my Marantz a / V receiver?
My Marantz SR5005 A/V Receiver: No sound output. This problem arose suddenly while watching TV over DirecTV. No sound regardless of what device I select (DVR, Blue Ray Player, etc.) but the receiver switches everything correctly and the video section works fine.
How to choose audio input source from the Marantz remote?
On the Marantz remote you press ‘Amp’ (tells it you want to control the receiver), then you press the name of the input you want to switch to twice. Example, Amp–>DVD->DVD. How does one choose audio input source from the remote or from the console? All the input sources I tried do not for some unknown reason do not output audio.
Why does my Marantz sr5012 have no sound?
Once I got to the screen where it runs sound tests on speaker connections and asks if I hear sound. Nope, nothing on any channel. Contacted the company I bought it from and was told my speakers are too powerful for the 5012 and caused the amp to pop. RMS on speakers are 90-200 watts.
Are there any issues with the Marantz 6012?
I have a Marantz 6012 and also had issues with ARC, when i initially purchased the receiver, it worked fine, then all of a sudden got no sound via HDMI, so went to Optical, i understand quite a few people had this issue and was down to a new firmware and could have required a plug pull, but i never tried to fix this, i’m sure i will eventually..

Do you have to point Remote to Marantz to work?
You really have to point remote towards Marantz to make it work, you have to point it more to the right side of AV receiver, and if something stands in front (like front speaker in my case) it will be like trying to find a G spot. So disappointed with IR remote and IR receiver.
