Why is there no sound coming from my Apple TV?

In most cases, checking and tightening wire connections, ensuring you’ve selected the right speaker system in the Audio and Video tab of Apple TV, making sure Audio Mode is set to Auto(or sometimes 16bit, depends on your TV), and checking for updates should solve the problem.

How do I connect my Iphone to Denon AVR S740H?

Select “Use iOS Device” on the TV screen. Check that your iOS device is connected to the wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) router and select “Denon AVR-S740H” from “SET UP NEW AIRPLAY SPEAKER…” at the bottom of the Wi-Fi configuration screen of your iOS device. Tap “Next” on the screen of the iOS device.

How to fix a Denon AVR s740h HDMI issue?

1) Resetting the power to both the TV and receiver. 2) Reinserting the HDMI cable (this is a high speed ethernet HDMI. The same cable works with ARC / HDMI CEC on a receiver I tested at a different house so I know it’s not a problem with the HDMI cable). 3) Resetting the configuration on the receiver to start from scratch.

Do you need a sound bar for Apple TV 4K?

To do both, you need a television or an AV receiver or sound bar that supports both Dolby Atmos and high-quality video formats. Apple TV 4K uses a high bandwidth form of Dolby Atmos that doesn’t work over ARC connections. On your Apple TV 4K, go to Settings > Video and Audio and select Audio Format.

What should I Set my Denon receiver to?

If I set it to DD 5.1, then play a movie in Plex with TrueHD or DTS-HD audio, the Denon receiver lights up as “Dolby Digital” and I get surround sound. If I set the ATV4 to “Best Quality Available” and play a Plex movie with TrueHD or DTS-HD audio, the Denon lights up with “Multi Channel In”.

What kind of HDMI do I need for Apple TV 4K?

Make sure that you connect your Apple TV 4K directly to the HDMI input on your sound bar or AV receiver with an HDMI cable. Most televisions don’t support Dolby Atmos pass-through to sound bars and receivers.*

Can a Denon receiver decode a plex movie?

I don’t think the ATV4 can’t decode it, but looking at the ATV4 settings there’s an option under audio for either “Best Quality Available” or “Dolby Digital 5.1”. If I set it to DD 5.1, then play a movie in Plex with TrueHD or DTS-HD audio, the Denon receiver lights up as “Dolby Digital” and I get surround sound.

How to fix a Denon HDMI arc issue?

Simply unplugging things for a while (a soft reset) can help, sometimes a full microprocessor reset may be needed. Denon confirmed today that they will not hesitate to replace the product. But I don’t think a replacement is going to solve my issue while I have these TVs.
